Picked up a set of E30 bottlecaps yesterday. They're in decent shape, ones got a bit of curb rash and ones got a good gouge on the outer rim but the two others are solid. They've got some BFGoodrich tires with a bit of life left but I'll probably replace them. Anyways I'm gonna refurbish them and either use them as summer wheels for my MR2 or put them on my dad's BMW 1602

Awesome, IMO bottle caps look good on the squares, but to each their own. Right now I have the original steelies, e21 turbines, and this winter will be picking up a set of NK 14" steelies. It's becoming impossible to find tires. Might even get the NKs widened to 6-6.5" it will look like this
Do you have any pictures of the 1602?

I'll see if I can find any, right now its on 2002 steelies and we're looking for some Alpina/Borrani steel wheels and the bottlecaps will only go on if I don't like them on the MR2 and we don't find the other wheels before the summer!

Easy/cheap solution is E30 Steelies with Alpina caps. You can get a set for about 200 new

We're usually stubborn for originality but that's a great solution

I am too. Tires are the only problem. In your case, those wheels, Alpina/Borrani are going to be very expensive if you find them. I'd really love some wheels from an 1800 Ti/SA, but those are extremely rare. 14x6

Awesome, I have 71 2k2
Just replaced the shocks with Billy HDs along with a 22mm sway bar up front. This Wed, when I get back from college, I'm throwing on some H&R lowering springs.

Nice! Our goal is somewhere along the lines of making a sort of 1602tii vintage racer but who knows, my dad is the second owner, its his first ever car and has had it since '84 or '85 so its pretty special to him

I bought my 02 as my first car. Don't think I will ever part with it.
